Lawn Fawn Ho Ho Holidays & Winter Village

EEEEEeeeee heee heeee I am having SO MUCH FUN with the Lawn Fawn items!!  I've done all kinds of things to this card today.  I'm learning so much by other people's creations it's so inspiring!!

For this card I've use Ho Ho Holidays stamp and die set and the Winter Village stamp and die set.  I started out by creating my background using distress oxide inks of wilted violet, chipped sapphire and black soot.  Then I flicked on some white and black paint - a technique that is still very messy to me but I'll figure it out!!  After that I distressed the edges using the regular distress ink (black soot) all the way around.  I like the nice vingette glow it gives off that the oxides can't do.

I added a black forest border to my white hills and also tried to use my white gel pen but that thing is a hunk of junk!!  I can't get it to be consistent at all!  I have tried every little trick out there to get it to work.  Maybe I have to use it every day I'm not sure.

Anyway there you gave it!!  Now off to work on my next one!!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Eulanda

Most Wonderful Time

I've seen lots of slimline cards around lately and I'm just lovin' them and even though that's not what this is, it still inspired me to make a taller and skinner card.

Today I'm back with another super cute image from the Winnie "Winter Wishes" collection and this one is "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year".  Isn't she cute with her little buddies hanging on for dear life?  🤣🤣  The new line is available at your Polkadoodle stockists.

I've used the papers from the "Gnome for Christmas" paper pad because that's actually what inspired me to create this card using these colors.  I distressed all the edges, which somehow makes your card look thicker and fuller.  Don't ask me how it just does and I really like it.   I need to do it more often but have you seen card fluff?!!  It gets EVERYWHERE!!! 😜  Here you see a super cute laser cut embellishment snowman but later I added a couple of hearts.  This super cute pack is the "Jumbles" pack.

Here I have some "Iced Branches" die cuts and I've added some Snow-Tex for some more texture as you can see on the card.

Here is a photo of all my embellishments I've add but sometimes at the last minute you know there's something more you need.

I've added some soft metal curlies - not sure what else to call them.  LOL!

What do you use on your cards for extra texture?  To me, the more the better.

Thanks for stopping by!

Lawn Fawn Build A House - Halloween Add-On

MY FIRST REVEAL WHEEL!!  Ok ... so!!!  I learned a few things along the way that's for sure!  Even after watching a few different video's there was still a couple of glitches but we can hide those!!  LMBO!!!  And thankfully, foam dots can be taken off and they don't REALLY wreck anything.  LOL!!

Each photo has a different view in the window and that's where the reveal wheel comes in.

So this is the Build A House die I've used and I even drew in the bricks for some more details.

My background is created using distress oxides annnnnddd sorry I forget what colors I used.  I think it was wilted violet, chipped saphire and black soot.  I also used distress ink black around the edges.  Seems like a more finished look.

I did some black and white splatter painting, which is still being practiced.  I'm trying to figure out how I can NOT get paint EVERYWHERE.

And there you have it and more to come!!!  It didn't scare me off too badly.  No pun intended.  HA HA HA HA!!

Have a nice day and thanks for stopping by!

Whimsy Stamps "Rory"

And here I am with my last card, guest designing for Whimsy Stamps.  When I first saw this cute little image I had to giggle as his name is "Rory" but seeing him in this little dinosaur costume made me instantly think "RAAWRY!!!".  😂😂😂

I colored this little guy using my copics but the dots are some white gouache and a flower shaping tool.  I used distress oxides for my background and then splattered it with the gouache as well.

I cut a Magnolia tree die with glitter paper then added some super cute Lawn Fawn ghosts.  I also covered the tree with some of that cobweb you can buy at the dollar store.  The ladder is also from Magnolia and both were from the same doohickey kit.

And this cute little treat bag was the perfect finishing touch from my stash.  AND YAY!!  The stash bin pays off again!!  LOL!

I hope you've enjoyed this card as well and if you still haven't gotten a chance, check out Whimsy's new releases.  There's something there for everyone!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lawn Fawn Thanks A Latte

I'm back with a couple of Lawn Fawn cards using the "Thanks A Latte" set.  Sooo cute but I will tell you one thing, I didn't buy the dies for this set only because they weren't available at the time I purchased the stamps but HUGE REGRETS!!   So I will be on the search for those soon.  I cut every little piece on each card so ya, there goes an hour of time I'm sure.  LOL!!

For both cards I used Lawn Fawn's "Fall Fling" 6" x 6" paper pack.  Soooooo adorable!!  On this card I used Lawn Fawn's "Reverse Stiched Scalloped Square Windows" to help layer up the card.  I distressed my background using carved pumpkin, ripe persimmon and rusty hinge oxides.

And on both cards I've also used Lawn Fawn's "glitter pen".  It's soooo soft but really pretty up close.

It's National Card Making Day so I hope you're in your craft rooms or better yet at some fun crop or something.  Enjoy!

Hugs,
Eulanda

Polkadoodles "Merry & Bright"

How would you like to view a video on hair colored with Copics?  😀   I've created a video for you below and done a bit of a post on how I created this card so ENJOY!

Isn't this super duper cute?!!  I LOVE that I'm creating xmas cards IN SEPTEMBER!!  There was a time when companies didn't get their xmas stuff going until November.  Well by then, in order to get all your xmas cards out you'd have to copy just 1 design.  NO!  I CAN'T DO IT!!  Mine are all different - ya crazy I know!!!  LOL!!  So for this card I've combined papers from two amazing paper packs - "Gnome for Christmas" and "Gnome Season" available at your Polkadoodles stockists.

Here are all my pieces cut and ready to be assembled.  For this kind of card, I felt like it was obvious that this would be an outdoor scene so I needed some trees and used the "Layering Trees" die set and cut from the same papers I used to layer my card.  It's nice to use design paper that adds some extra subtle depth to the card.  I didn't want your focus point to be on my trees instead of my image.

For one of my layers I'ved used Posydoodles Circles, one of my personal favorite PD dies.  Next it was time to assemble my layering and begin with my embellishements.  Normally I always add some kind of bouquet of flowers.  I mean c'mon, how can you not?  LOL!  😆

HERE SHE IS!!  This image is called "Merry & Bright" from the new Winnie Winter Wishes collection.  Have you seen the new images?  OMG SO CUTE!!  I've colored this whole image using my copics and even added some glitter to the snow.  I love that these papers have these blue colors in them because it gives me so much more to play with, color-wise, when I'm coloring and trying to embellish.

Aren't these reindeer cute?!  They're from a fun mix of laser cut paper embellishments along with some snowmen, christmas candies, winter trees, snowflakes, christmas baubles and more.  Check the stockist list on the website so you can find out where to get this super cute image and more!!!

Oooooo I almost forgot!!!  MY VIDEO

Polar Bear's Christmas Tree

Today I'm here to share a card as a guest designer for Whimsy Stamps (woo hoo thank you Whimsy!!!)  showcasing this super cute digi stamp called "Polar Bear's Christmas".  OH MA GAWD HOW CUTE IS THIS IMAGE?!!!  I decided to create a shaped card and an outdoor scene, well because really, where else do polar bears really hang out.  🤣🤣🤣

Don't you like his cute little Charlie Brown tree?!!  Once he gets that fluffy garland on, you'll never know the difference.  And that little tree is gonna feel so darn good!  LOL!!  Creative huh?!  I added some snowflakes using some paint and then topped them with Stardust Stickles.  I've colored the image using my prismacolor pencil crayons and all combo's are listed below.

I've added some pretty lace and then layered up some ribbon and topped them both off with a pretty bouquet.

I hope you liked it!!  Are you working on winter or Christmas cards yet?  They are my absolute FAVORITE with Halloween being a close second.

Stay tuned!  I was lucky enough to be able to design for Whimsy stamps today and a few more times.

Thanks so much for popping by!!!
Hugs,
Eulanda
