Happy Birthday and Happy New Year!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Welcome back to my blog and welcome to 2017!!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday and were able to spend time with family.  I did and it was so awesome!

So you know what happens on the first of every month right?  A new challenge at Noor! Design UK!!!  It's my FAVORITE, which if you follow my blog or my Facebook you already know is:

ANYTHING GOES!!

Heck so easy right?!! I didn't use a lot of supplies because I actually made a masculine card and let's face it, less is more.  And yup it was by choice!  😁😁😁  It's hubby's UNCLE's birthday on Dec. 31st so this year I finally made him a card.  I say finally because I'm usually burnt out at this time of year, and I am, but it came together nicely so it was good!

I also wanted to show you, if you have some of those gorgeous Pion "The Witching Hour" papers but don't celebrate Halloween, here is another way of using them for something other than Halloween!  I love doing that - I feel very clever when that happens.  LMBO!!  😏

I added a layer of design paper in the black oval, added the "Happy" sentiment from Mister Tom's Treasure and then filled it with glossy accents.  It's sooo smooth!

I used some Scrapiniec brick wall and covered it with Tim Holtz distress glitter - so "man glitter" and cut the wall to my liking.

It's nothing super fancy but I think a great guy card!!  Love this Dutch Doobadoo Dutch Shape Art Shield 2 A5 template too...kind of looks like a Route 66 sign doesn't it?    Fun!

The blogging world seems to have switched over to Facebook, which is unfortunate as we bloggers put a fair bit of time into our posts so you can see all the details of the items and more pictures.  Well, it is what it is and we have to keep up with the trends of showcasing for any design teams we are on.  I will keep doing both as this is also a great way for me to keep track and go back to remind myself of items or even color combo's I've used.  So I thank you for still stopping by when you can because it does take time and I recognize that.  Means so much to me you really have no idea!!!  💖
Sending you a big happy new year hug!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR MY FRIENDS!

Shake a Little Merry Christmas

GOOD DAY!!   ARE YOU READY?!  No no, not for my post FOR CHRISTMAS!  ha ha ha ha!  I am and now I'm trying to PATIENTLY wait for everyone to show up and start the holidays.  It's not working.  LOL!!  I want it to happen NOW.  ha ha ha!  😀

So my project today is a shaker card using one of the new templates from Dutch Doobadoo Card Art A4 Cookie Jar.  Super cute huh?!  I love this Holly Jolly Merry Christmas die from Find It Trading.  What a great centerpiece and also nice for the sentiment inside too.

I used the "Happy Holidays" Joy christmas trees, painted some Snow-Tex on to them and dashed them with the Diamond Dust glitter.  Gorgeous!

I made my own poinsettia using white Foamiran foam, distressing the centers and popping in some stamens, each of which are available in the Noor store in numerous colors!

This image is Tilda with Rudolph and one of my favorite's from the Magnolia collection this year. I colored her up using my distress inks that I just can't seem to put down.  ha ha ha!

A view of how the shaker card shakes - LOL!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!  I hope you all have an amazing holiday and get some well deserved family time and down time.

Hugs!!!

Snowman Family

I giggled when I saw this cute little image from Wild Rose Studio suitably called "Snowman Family".  Baby snowmen?  GACK!  ADORABLE!   I added flower soft to the fur on her hat and pom pom and some white flock to the baby snowmen fur.  It's so cute in real life!

So I'm sure you've seen the new Foamrian flowers floating around Facebook and on many of the team's projects lately.  Well, here's another one and for this one I used the Rosy Owl Flower Die 2 set.  I added some Viva Decor ice crystals for that wintery feeling.

A bigger view of the flowers with the black wax cord underneath, which are popped up onto some black straws.   There are so many amazing colors of the foam in the store and they are so much fun to make you HAVE to try it!

I like this black Lotus flower and I think a person might even be able to use it for a masculine card.  Rosy Owl also made this gorgeous leaf die, which can be used on the foam but I didn't have the right green foam so I cut some green cardstock.

I added a ribbon slider under this gorgeous lace Eloise but then added the Button Starlight for an extra elegant piece.  Oh it's pretty!!

So there you have a rather non-traditional Christmas card from me this week.  Enjoy the rest of you week and this coming weekend.  I'll bet you'll all be busy since it's the last weekend before xmas.  Are you ready?  Not me!!  But I will be.  LOL!!

Hugs!

Winter Wonder

Today I'm happy to be bringing you two cards.  I'm getting ahead (or maybe just on time) so I figured I better double up my sharing for you all to see.  😊  For my first card I used the papers from Whimsy Stamps "Winter Wishes" pad and paired them up with the super cute stamp also from Whimsy "Winter Wonder".  Taking her teddy bear for a walk - ahhhhh the memories of being a kid.  LOL!!

I made myself a little forest and added some snowtex on each tree, built up dimension and even sneaked a little deer charm in there too.   What's a forest without an animal of some kind?

My usual bouquet full of pretties, which I also added the Snowtex too.  Love those wooden white snowflakes!!

I thought I'd share a masculine Christmas card because I'm sure we all have at least one we should be making this season.  I used the papers from Studio Light called "Frozen Forest".

The die is Marianne Designs called "Tiny's Reindeer Die" and it's not in the shop but Tracy can bring it in for you.   I showed this angle on the card so you could see the man glitter on the large Scrapiniec holly wreath.  LOL!  Seems when I call it "man glitter" it's accepted.  😀  Oh and it is the Tim Holtz distress glitter so that should work too right?  LOL!

This angle shows the reindeer is actually in the center of the card and not on the outside.  I even cut the die twice and added some dimension tape behind the die.  I also added a couple of Scrapiniec snowflakes (which aren't in stock but many others are) and birch bark stars.

The trees are Joy dies "Happy Holidays" to which I added Snowtex for that even more wintery feeling.

There you have it!!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!
Hugs!
