"Adore" Mixed Media

Another piece from me but MY OH MY did it start out HORRIBLY WRONG!   WHAT?!!  WELLLLLLL I thought I would try some brighter colors but it did NOT WORK OUT!  So...out comes the black!!!  ha ha ha  So there you go.  We don't always succeed right from the get go!  Go ahead and laugh your butt off.  I did.  HA HA HA HA!!

I'm really enjoying these things but I can't wait to go to Finnibair's classes in July.  At least I know I can do the composition part anyway.

I've had this ADORE metal embellishment for years and finally a great reason to use it!!  The bird is a Prima resin piece just perfect atop the SRTC bird cage.

Just a whole lot of trinkets from Prima and some Junkyard Findings, probably more.  hee hee

I used some gorgeous pieces from SRTC and some are new releases.

Vintage Wedding

Hubby's side of the family has 2 weddings within a month of each other.  It's kind of funny because the family hasn't seen a wedding since 2007 and it was my husband and I!  Now there are 2!!  So I made these cards very similar because they won't be attending each other's weddings since both are out of country.  Took a little work out of it but they still took awhile to create!!  So I made up 3 sets, which I will be sharing with you over the next short while.

A little while ago a friend of a friend mentioned that a local lady had cleaned out her crafting room and had a bagful of lace for sale.  I HIT THE MOTHERLOAD!!  LOL!  One of the pieces was the gorgeous pearl beaded lace I used on this card.  Seemed very appropriate given the 20s vintage image on here.  Maybe 30s?  The ruffled lace was from Live and Love Crafts.  I LOVE this stuff!

I've used papers called "Coral Chic" from Michele R Designs for both cards but of course you can't seem them after my embellishment drawer threw up on them.  HA HA HA HA!  If you haven't seen her online store you must check it out.  She has both digi and paper sets and all are GORGEOUS.  I keep using that word but it's so true and describes her papers perfectly!

Another pretty bouquet of flowers using Wild Orchid Craft flowers and those pretty LLC chrysanthemums.  I added a bow tied hemp string and intertwined a strand of pearls.

Again pieces from LLC - the bark heart and LOVE paperclip.

And here's the second card and really only laces are different and a few odds and ends.

I also like using these clay hearts from LLC.  You can even add Stampendous Frantage embossing powder on them.

I added some a shabby ribbon bow behind the roses too on this one.

Again this pretty shabby pink/peach colored ribbon and yummy lace again both from LLC.

So there you have it!   My first set of cards for the new wedding couples.  I'll be back with more!
Thanks for visiting!

Sew Shabby and Berry Sweet

I have wanted to color up this image from Tiddly Inks "Berry Sweet" for awhile now and just decided to put everything else aside and go for it.  Sometimes you just need to create for no other reason than you want to.

I used some WONDERFUL pieces from Noor! Design UK - the doily die that is just barely peeking out at both ends, the new mushroom and gorgeous leaf dies.  I also used one of their many gorgeous templates "Shape Art Ornate".  It's a little extra fussy cutting but I LOVE it as I was getting tired of my square cards.

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THESE STRAWBERRIES?!!  I bought this die from Magnolia some time ago.  See?  So long I don't even remember!!  LOL!  They're a little finicky but they sure look cute when they're done!!  The grass die is also from Magnolia.

I've used the new set of papers from Michele R Designs called "Sew Shabby".  Lovin those greens let me tell you!  And they are sold in a 12" x 12" so I could use my new shaped templates from Noor!  No, I don't have a 12" x 12" printer but I still could printed larger than the 6" x 6" so I was a very happy camper!  I love the extra's these sets come with and again I went to the postcard and ticket pieces.  Also, my usual bouquet from Wild Orchid Crafts that you can purchase from Live and Love Crafts.

And here she is again - I did have trouble with my mushrooms on the first go around and they were red so I had to recolor, cut and paste but it seems to have worked out just fine!  LOL!

I even managed to build this around a couple of challenges so here we go:

Thanks for stopping by and
have a great week!
