Christmas Stockings

Ok have I got a loaded post for you!!  In September I had my sister (Simone) visiting and we created some gorgeous stocking - (XMAS-472) using a chipboard piece from Southern Ridge Trading Company

Warning - PICTURE HEAVY

We'll start with her amazing piece and I'll tell you all about them then I'll post mine in another.  The papers were bought from Live and Love Crafts and were last year's Maja Papers called "Vintage Frost Basics".  That collection was STUNNING!!

These laces are also from Live and Love Crafts (LLC from now on), except for the burlap which is Bo Bunny.  The ribbons with pearl centers actually came like this and are now a staple in my lace collection.  LOL!

Simone used some snowflakes from Southern Ridge Trading Company (SEA-164) and just left them bare.  See?  You don't have to do a darn thing with them to look gorgeous on your projects!  She used some twine to wrap the loop part of her stocking to reinforce in the event the stocking is actually hung.

More pretty snowflakes from SRTC - SEA-165 and SEA-166.  The bark heart is from LLC and so is the Melissa Frances resin star.

Another gorgeous snowflake, resin star and lock, key was some old stash and that big gorgeous flower is Prima - "Tattered Treasures Wheat".

This PEACE is more chipboard from SRTC - XMAS-160 - and Simone painted it with cream colored acrylic paint first and then covered it in Snowdust Stickles.  It's sooooo pretty!!

And the completing piece on the toe is filled with more luscious flowers.  She even stickled a lot of the flowers and other pieces on her stocking.  The vintage berries and frosted berries were from LLC.

There you have it!  One beautiful gorgeous Christmas stocking!!  Didn't she do such an amazing job?!!  Oh and she even distressed the edges using my Zutter Distrezz-It-All.  I freakin' love that thing and use it every weekend I'm sure!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Frosty with Snowflake

YAY IT'S THE WEEKEND!  I have been trying to get to some coloring since yesterday and so far no success but once this is posted I am COLORING!  WOO!

I wanted to share a card with some GORGEOUS papers from M R Designs called "Vintage Teal Frost".   Love the fact that these papers are INSTANT downloads.  In my world where we have no craft store, this is AWESOME for me!!

Isn't this flourish FREAKIN' STUNNING?!!  It's a new release from Southern Ridge Trading Company. (COR-420)  I painted it up with some Martha Stewart texture (snow) and then covered it with Glitter Ritz.  It's even more stunning in real life, as everything is.  LOL!

The "Frosty" sentiment is another piece from M R Designs from the "Elements 2" pack and has 8 different tags with different sayings.  Again, instant gratification!!

I've made a few small bouquets on my card (I know, so unlike me - "small" - hee hee) and I had to actually color my own flower with Copics to make it match following this tutorial

This snowman is from the "So Snowy 2009" collection and such a favorite of mine!!  "Frosty with Snowflake" soooooo cute!!  The trees are Magnolia dies and the short one is from the new doohickey collection from this year.  I glittered some and just added snow texture to the middle one.

Well that's all I have for you today!  I hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Just Playing

It's been awhile since I've had the chance to color.  I was worried maybe I'd forgotten.  LOL!  But alas, I'm ok.  I guess it's just like riding a bike.  Although, I did practice AGAIN, 3 times before the finale.  LOL!!  Now it'll go into my coloring book for ME!  hee hee

So the reason I colored up this little cutie is for the competition going on over on the Facebook "Kit and Clowder" group and here are all of Alyce's details:

October Kit and Clowder Challenge

Oh my ok I'm just a little behind but have finally gotten a chance to write my post with my card.  LOL!!   This month at Kit and Clowder's monthly challenge our sponsor is Scrapper's Delights and this challenge

ANYTHING GOES!!

So c'mon and play with us!  An easy one this month!  I chose to use this cute Halloween digi image called "Sabrina Witch".

Isn't this the cutest web?!!  #CEL-13  It's a chipboard piece from Southern Ridge Trading Company.  I don't think you'll see too many cards without at least once piece any time soon.  LOL!  I just LOVE them and I've bought all kinds of new things to alter chipboard.  I painted the web first with a black Tim Holtz dauber and then sprayed with a mist after it dried.
I finally got to use some of my STASH!  My Tim Holtz skull and bones and now I have only 5 left.  haaa ha ha ha!

I even added some silver Stickles the buckle on her hat.
Copic colors are listed below.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Birthday!

Today is my stepdaughter's birthday and I cheated a little and asked her if she liked the artist's images before creating this card for her.  I directed her to the site and she said "just 1?".  LOL!!  So, it was nice to play with a fun image and this one is called "Lucy Loo" from TheEastWind.

The papers are from Pion Designs and ironically I just realized they are called "My Precious Daughter".  ha ha ha!  The cute tassel is from Prima and the pen nib on my butterfly (hiding behind my bouquet of flowers) is from Tim Holtz.

The pretty frame (#FRA-10) is from Southern Ridge Trading Company and I added TH rock candy to distress it and then some painted it with Gesso.

The big flower is from Prima and the gorgeous center is from Live and Love Crafts, as is the resin butterfly.  I added some TH ink first to deepen the color in the crevasses and then daubed some TH paint lightly over-top.

The gorgeous laces and rolled flower are from Live and Love Crafts.  The purple lace was very light pink but I sprayed it with Prima's Color Bloom "Iris".  I just love these spray mists they are incredible!

This image took me FOREVER to color but it was worth it.  As always there were a few spots I wanted to go back to but TOO LATE!   LOL!

Well being that it's Friday you all enjoy the weekend and thank you so much for stopping by!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARA!
