Live and Love Crafts - Shabby Christmas

This week I am playing with papers from Maja Design's "It's Christmas Time" collection for LLC's "Shabby Christmas" inspiration.  I love adding lace, pearls and Gesso for any shabbiness and that's just my basics to start with.

One of my favorite embellishments to play with are these Magnolia doohickey hearts, tied up with some shabby seam binding and popping the vintage pearl brads in the center.  This time I even added a few pearl strands.

Those bark stars are always a favorite of mine!!  I have a chipboard tree from Southern Ridge Trading Co. that I covered with some Martha Stewart texture but it's the same as the SnowTex sold in the LLC store.

YAY I got to add my favorite Wild Orchid Crafts bouquet but I also threw in one of those sweet Magnolia cherubs and a new white apple.  I just love them!!  I think it's because it's just such a non-traditional color that draws me to it.  And of course everything is covered in Gesso!!

This week LLC is sponsoring
and the theme is
SHABBY CHIC!

They would love to have you join in their challenge and
one lucky winner will receive

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

LDRS - Izzy's Friends

Isn't that just the cutest name?!  IZZY?!  I love it!!  This new CandiBean image is now available at Little Darlings Rubbers Stamps along with 9 others!  For this sweetie image I made a bookmark ... kind of a big one but it works!  LOL!  Of course I had to pick this image to play with as it reminded me of myself and my sister when we were kids.  We even had the cat!

I also used LDRS's "Fairytale Sentiments",which I thought was perfect for this image and my bookmark!  I added a few flowers from my stash from years ago.  See?  It's a good thing to hang on to stuff.  LOL!  The chipboard plate is from a company coming online soon called Southern Ridge Trading Company.

The gorgeous paper is from LDRS as well called "Petals and Lace".  OH it is so pretty and nice to play with let me tell you!

And how hard this was for me to keep it flat?!  WHOA CHALLENGING!!  hee hee!!  The chipboard stars I cut from Tim Holtz's new "Stacked Stars" and the pearl stars along with the pretty lace are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

So all images are in the store for sale but they are moving very quickly so don't be disappointed and go order right now!  :)

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!
Big CandiBean hugs!

Live & Love Crafts - Pion's Sweet Baby

This week at LLC our inspiration is from the new "Sweet Baby" papers from Pion.  I just LOVE playing with any new vintage papers.  These papers didn't really inspire anything baby-like for me but I did want to show you how versatile these papers are.

I've paired these gorgeous papers up with an image from Pion's "Gramma's Attic/Tinted Bouquet".

I really like these Maya "Love" paperclips new to the LLC store and I'm sure you'll see them with some Frantage embossed on them in future projects.

The butterflies are from a couple of different collections of Pion's including the new Sweet Baby's papers.  After cutting them out, I distressed them and added a Tim Holtz nib to the biggest one.  One of my favorite looks!!

The material flowers are from the Maya Road Tea Garden Trim but I cut off one row because it was just the perfect color to match my card.  More Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, also available now at LLC and these gorgeous frosted berries.  Also, don't you love those Prima zipper pulls?

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you get a few minutes for some crafty time this weekend!!  Enjoy and see you in a week!

HUGS,
