Live and Love Crafts - Anything Goes

Well this week LLC has left it wide open for us to create ANYTHING so I made a birthday card.  As much as I've been loving making Christmas cards, it was nice to be working with something different, well not different but different for this time of year.

I started with Maja Design's "Vintage Autumn Basics" and layered with a couple of doily's.  Seems like a perfect match for some shabby chicness don't ya think?

I added this Maya Road vintage wood birdcage and popped up a cute little lace bow at the top.  For the frame I backed it with some of the Autumn Basics paper and added an "hb" for the happy birthday sentiment.  OF COURSE I couldn't resist not dusting it with my new favorite new item GESSO!  LOVE THAT STUFF!

I decided to color up "Vintage Violet" from Saturated Canary available at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps, which was somewhat of a feat for me this week.  I've recently had my eyes done and the edge of the image had either a very wide line or sometimes 2 lines.  LOL!!  Ok so I don't think I'm ready for close up stuff yet but everything else is all good.  Now we're just into the fine tuning part of things.  hee hee

In my bouquet on the left I used a newer die from Spellbinders simply called "Corner Fourish" and added some gorgeous Wild Orchid flowers also available now at LLC.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Eulanda

Southern Ridge Trading Company

I just have to tell you about a new chipboard company that's opened up.  The owner's name is Karen Beaupre and she resides in Kamloops, BC, Canada.

In her own words:

Southern Ridge Trading Co. has been around since 1990. I have had many Creative Endeavors such as Commercial Embroidery, Ceramics, Collage, Water color painting, Acrylic painting, Scrap booking and Card making. I am committed to explore new creative paths that inspire me.
I live my life with an “Intense Creative Passion” that fills me, and I feel blessed to be able to go where the wind blows me...This latest path has me Extremely excited about my 60 watt Epilog Laser Machine which I have had for three years. It has opened my world to Die Cuts, Rubber stamps, Glass and Wood etching.
My Graphic arts skills have increased ten fold because of it and I am having the time of my life creating my own designs to offer you. Every day means more opportunity for me to design something new.
I have some amazing designers on board that help create Fabulous projects form these very versatile Die Cuts and Embellishments. I have incorporated many of them into my own Scrap Booking layouts, Cards and Collage pieces as you will see in our Gallery section. I sincerely hope that you also feel inspired to create something truly wonderful .

Here are some of my favorite designs:

So if you'd like to check out the new store she has entered a number of designs but she has many many more to add:

Live and Love Crafts - Inspired By A Song

WOO HOO!  I got to make things SPARKLE!!  hee hee  I used the new papers from Maja Design's "Vintage Frost Basics".  LOVE THIS PAD because there are such non-traditional Christmas papers and sometimes we like to get away from the basic reds.  The image is also from the same collection.

This week at LLC we are inspired by a song and I was inspired by
"We Wish You A Merry Christmas".
This was a chipboard sleigh I covered with white paint first, Glossy Accents and then gorgeous GlitterRitz glitter.  Soooo pretty!
A closer look of the pretty image and my little bouquets including the Prima Holiday Jubilee resin piece.
I've used the TH doily to extend my card and popped up a shabby seam binding bow and centered it with vintage pearl brad.  I also used Spellbinder's new "Icicles" die.  This time I put some double-sided tape on my white cardstock and then punched the die.  Peeled back the tape and covered it with glitter.  Easy peasy!!  I also put 3D foam dots at either end so it sticks out a way from the card.
So what are your plans for the weekend?  Christmas shopping?  I suppose I need to work my way around to that pretty soon.  Ya, I haven't really started yet ... ha ha!  Yikes!

Have a great weekend everyone!!
Hugs!

Live and Love Crafts - December Challenge

Welcome back to another LLC monthly challenge!!  This month the challenge is

STARDUST!

I had to look this one up first because even this was a challenge for me.

"A magical or charismatic quality or feeling"

So I went for the magical feeling of Christmas.  I was somewhat disappointed with my photography as I wanted for my picture to show all the Stickles I added EVERYWHERE.  You really have to strain to see it but wherever you see the white Martha Stewart snow, I've Stickled over top.   The papers and image are from  Pion's "Wintertime in Swedish Lapland" collection.

This "JOY" chipboard is from Southern Ridge Trading Company.  A new online company in BC, Canada for chipboard.  I covered it with Tim Holtz's "Weathered Wood" distress paint, clear Distress cracked paint, then dabbed on some Martha Stewart texture here and there and finished it off with Stickles.

I added some bells to my shabby bow and topped off a tag with it.  Hard to see because again, I've covered everything!!  I loved adding that tiny Fancypants tree into the TH glass tube.  Those things are adorable!

I added a few more stars to the stardust theme from TH's new Stacked Stars as well as the nice bark stars from LLC.  I covered the TH stars with the Pion paper as well.

As always there will be a random winner for:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope
you enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
