Magnolia Tag Blog Hop and Scavanger Hunt

WELCOME WELCOME!!

Are you enjoying the hop/hunt so far?  It's been awhile since I've been in one and I forgot how much fun they are!!  You were probably brought here from Sharon's blog (didn't she have the sweetest card?) but if you want to start from the beginning and join in you'll have to go back to the Magnolia-licious High-lites blog

We have 2 challenges going on within this hop.  One is a scavenger hunt and the second is a challenge and there will be $50 prizes to Magnolia-licious store for both!  Worth playing for?  I think so!  We would love to see you play either one, or even better, both of them!

So we are working with INTERACTIVE TAGS.  I've snuck a tag into the top left corner of my card using a Magnolia Doohickey, as well as the tag I cut from my Silhouette on the bottle of Bailey's.

My image is Tilda with Ribbon Heart Scarf and I used the new Snowy Forest Doohickey dies and covered them with Twinklets.  I also covered the wooden snowflakes from Studio Calico and covered them with Crackle Accents.  If you click on the picture for a close up I think you can see it better.

Again I used the Snowy Forest die with a sentiment from LOTV for my Bailey's tag.

So your next hop is over to Norma Lee, who's work I am a personal huge fan of!  I'm sure she'll have something incredible just waiting for you.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING!!

Magnolia-licious Pink Christmas Challenge

I LOVED THIS CHALLENGE!

Or should I say I loved how my card turned out?  LOL!  It took me about 4 hours to color this thing.  I KNOW!!  I'm soooo slow!  Sometimes I think the most time consuming part is actually picking your colors out but it was fun!! I thought these 2 images were so cute together.  Looks like the reindeer was a little escapee and Tilda went to grab him to take him back in.   Very much like my indoor cat.  LOL!

I used "Tilda w/Little Rudolf" from the Christmas Story 2012 collection and paired it up with "Welcome to a Sweet Christmas" from the Sweet Christmas 2011 collection.  I was happy to color it up as I got it last year and never had a chance to until now.  I also used the new "Slender Firs" doohickey dies from Magnolia-licious.  I am just in love with these things!  They go well with the "Snowy Forest", which you'll see in my next project soon.  hee hee

Again I got to provide the inspiration picture for this challenge.  Funny thing about that!  I picked it in September thinking that some of the new Christmas papers coming out would have pink in them.  NOTHING!!  I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!  But I finally found some digi papers from Bearly Mine Designs and used "Christmas Delight".  Very pretty!!

You should see all the PINK at the Magnolia-licious challenge blog.  EYE CANDY FOR SURE!!  Pop on over and take a peek and give the girls a little luv if you have time.  Again Diana will be giving away:

Also, you should see all the colored images at Magnolia-licious store.  Makes a big difference on seeing how an image might look after it's colored or maybe help in giving you and idea on how to color something if you're stuck.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Magnolia-licious Challenge

 Photo Inspiration Plus Glitter

Welcome to another challenge at Magnolia-licious!!  This week we are asking for you to use the photo inspiration (below) and GLITTER!!  I used silver Stickles on each red layer but you think you can see them?  Hardly!  I also have white Glitteritz all over the textured snow I laid down but you can't see that either.  This card was photographically challenged right from the start.  Is that a word?  LOL!

I used "Tilda on the Roof" and "Snowy Roof" from the new Magnolia from "A Christmas Story" collection.  You'll even see most of the images in this collection colored up so you can either see how wonderful they are when they're colored, or take a peek for coloring your image.  That's what I do.  hee hee

I got to pick the inspiration photo for this challenge but what I had in mind vs. what came out was NOT the same thing.  LOL!  OH well but that's okay.  I hope you enjoy it!

Birthday Card For Simone

At first I had trouble with this one......not so sure it appears that I did but yup I did.  LOL!!  Again, it was a color combo I don't use often but I think I should.  A little challenging but it worked out so nicely when it was finished.  I embellished the crap out of it because it was for Simone and she puts them into shadow boxes and mounts them on her wall!!  She has 5 or 6 now and it looks pretty cool.  Go big or go home!  ha ha ha ha!!

Have a great day!!

Happy Birthday Barb!

Happy Birthday Aunt Barb!

Lots of birthdays in October and November for me so here's another one.  Oh ya, more to come!  At first I thought using this mustard colored paper would be a challenge.  OK IT WAS!!  LOL!!  Jeez!!  But the more I worked with it and added the blue, the more I liked it.  Definitely a bit of a different color combo for me.

This is the sketch I used that Chelsea has for this month's challenge.  Is that cute or what?!!

I'm not entering the challenge but just wanted to share the kick butt sketch.  I will tho enter these challenges:

Happy Birthday to my MIL

A card I made for my MIL's birthday, that I may have previously mentioned, is on the same day as mine.  Or maybe mine is on the same day as hers.  LOL!!  My sister (my twin who I also share today with - LOL)  had a few of these digi's printed off while I was visiting here so I grabbed one and started myself.  Oh they are just so sweet!!  Even added some glitter to that cute heart balloon.  Different papers and color combo's for me but I think I like how it turned out.

Short post today.  :)  Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!!
