Halloween!!! Whipper Snapper

I made this card this weekend and didn't get time to post. I don't normally post during the week and hubby is waiting to watch tv so this will be quick! The stamp is from Whipper Snapper fall line (if you really want to know what it's called email me later). The pics below show how the Spica Glitter pens worked. I did a lot of glitter on the card. It's a fun one!!!
Booooooooooootiful!!! hee hee

Sketch Saturday #65 & Cute Card Thursday

2 challenges in 1! Woohoo!! I used Sketch Saturday #65 but turned it sideways and Cute Card Thursday is anything summery.
I used Copics to color, Prima flowers, the new EK success leaf punch (freakin love it!), Making Memories label and pearl brads, Basic Grey bg paper and the bee's are from ... darn threw the packaging away. Finicky to cut out hoki dyna!! I colored the bees with Spica glitter pens, popped them with glue and glazed them. Are they ever cute!

Just Magnolia - Week 19

Ok so I have to admit this has got to be one of the busiest Magnolia's I have ever made! It does work with Rachel's sketch for the Week 19 Just Magnolia challenge but even I'm overwhelmed with all the color and elements. Hee hee!

Anyway, I colored with Copics, used Prima flowers, We R Memories bg paper, QK star dies, corner punch, MS border punch, Maya Road chipboard, Stickles, cracked glaze on the star, white Liquid Pearl, spacers and pearl gems from the Hobby House.

Halloween Candy - Ok that's kinda funny

CHECK THIS OUT!!
OH MA GAWD!!
This candy Jacque is offering is so much fun!! If you like Magnolia's you must check out the blog hop that the Magnolia DT's did. Start here. If you're not inspired after that ......... ok that's just not possible!

Changito Swinger

This is a card I actually made all by myself. LOL! I mean no sketch. The paper is Peaches from Prima. It has an opening so I cut right through the card to show the inside saying. I 3d'ed the monkey on his tire swing and used QK tree limb.
The brad is from We R Memories and I used a MS border punch. I had fun with this one. Simone was the lucky recipient of that one!!

All The Things I Love Blog Candy

Bev and Simon Says are at it again!! This week you can win:
Isn't she a doll???

Changito - Mojo Monday

I entered this card awhile ago on a Mojo Monday challenge but couldn't post on my blog because it was off in the mail to a friend. Thank goodness she finally got it and now I can post these cute little guys. They were fun!! I used the silver Spica glitter pen on the bumper and glazed the top of the cab and the lights but you can't see it so well. Anyway, not going to list all the supplies cuz I forget already!! So what did I learn? Create the post when you make it and delay the date of the post. DUH!!! LOL!

Anniversary Cards

My DH asked me to make an anniversary card for his parents so I made 2. He couldn't decide because he liked them both. LOL!I used Making Memories paper (thanks Simone!) and didn't really want to cover up the nice bg so just added a few butterflies (Martha Stewart punch), flowers (Prima), some gems (misc) and some Opaline pearls from Basic Grey. LUV THOSE! Then my DH said "but there's no color" hence this card and the one he picked. The stamp of the 2 birds on the inside are from Inkadinkadoo. I punched a square in the card so you can see through and decorated the inside a bit. Ya, I said I'd never do that again...well, not to the extend of the last time I did it anyway.

Just Magnolia

I'm been busy this afternoon!! Next weekend I'm away tho, so I'm cramming my posts in now. hee hee Here is another page from my food journal and this time I was challenged by my sister to use the Just Magnolia - Week 17 sketch. Check out her card - IT'S CUTE! On both of my most recent posts the sentiment is from Scrappy Cat stamps - thanks Sheri!! I used one for each page. Her wings are glittered up and her head thingy is covered in glaze.

Magnolia-licious Highlites

This is my take on the August DT challenge for the Magnolia-licious Highlites. It's yet another page for my food journal I'm making. I thought it would be much easier to use a sketch to make all my pages then try and figure out what the heck I'm gonna do. I just LOVED this month's sketch. My journal is about 7" long so this gets a bit tricky but I love it anyway!!

Basic Grey Challenge

Basic Grey has challenges every 2nd week, which makes it so much easier for me to participate in. You only have to use 1 element of Basic Grey and I chose the Wisteria bg paper and it's gorgeous!! I just love it even tho it's purple (not my favorite)! This paper makes it easier for me to use the color and it looks so rich! Plus I get to use one of my favorite images - Daisy from the Sugar Nellie collection.

I used Spica glitter on her shirt and added glaze on all the flowers.

Shadow Box Momento's

Last night a friend of mine mentioned she had some momento's of her fiancee's from his father, who sadly passed away when he was very young. 2 charms that she wanted to make these lovely shadow boxes to house them in. She has no supplies but was bound and determined that she needed to put these together for him. That seemed like a big job and I figured she really needed help!! Because as most of you, I have TONS of supplies. LOL! She wanted something vintage and by the time she left, was very happy with her results. PHEW!! LOL! Sorry about the glare on the glass but we wanted picture with the frames and I r sooo not good at that kind of picture taking!! LOL! She texted me this morning and has now been asked to make 5 more. The LSS was open for a crop last night and allowed us to come in and buy some supplies for her. Thanks Julie and Tara!!! Janelle exclaimed "OMG I can't believe you've never brought me in here before!! How have I been missing this?!!!" WE HOOKED ANOTHER ONE LADIES!!!!

I HAVE to share this

My mom is so sweet and she has saved (unbeknowst to me) every card I have ever made her. If you have someone like this, check back and see how far you've come. So many ladies have commented on my cards about how they could never be as creative as I am. Well I'm here to say that "YES YOU CAN!"
I have been making cards for about 5 years now and over the last year have seriously "upped the anti" on my card making. I spend hours in my craft room coloring, cardmaking, blogging and surfing. Some days the hubby isn't the happiest about it but give him his PS3 and a case of beer and I'm good for a day! LOL! Some things I never knew I could do was have a blog that hosts over 100 followers. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!! People actually want to see MY cards?!! Mine? Are you sure?
Apparently so and I want to see all of yours too. So, I suppose for all of those who say you will never be able to or you can't, you're probably closer then you think. You've already made the biggest step and that was the first one. BUYING PRODUCT. The rest is time and practice just like anything.
Anyway, to now reveal my first card - WOW!! And you all can go ahead and giggle because I think it's hilarious!! I opened the email from my mom at work and literally bust a gut right at my desk. My how things change!

Sketch Saturday #62

This is my take on SS's challenge. I just got some Motivet images from my friend Tanya. THANKS A LOT - kinda..........enabler. LOL!! These guys are so cute! I am trying to stay away from adding glitter, since I do that on almost anything because I think it's just fine by itself now. Sweet!! hee hee!

THANK YOU SHERI, CHRIS & CHERI

A few of my new found friends have helped make the transition of my sister moving, a bit more bearable. I just wanted to say thanks to ALL of them.

Sheri - thanks for being there via email. Your words of encouragement have helped and it's nice to know what kind of friendship you can have without ever meeting someone. I greatly appreciated it!!

Chris - thanks very much for the lovely flowers and the coffee breaks you take with me. I appreciate the time you have taken to check in on me as the week goes by. So nice!!!

Cheri - Thanks so much for the card wall hanging (below). Your work is amazing and I am honored to have not only 1 but 2 pieces of your artwork. Thanks for thinking of me!! Made me feel a whole lot better!
If you'd like to check out more of Cheri's amazing talent please check out her blog. I just LOVE her scrapbook layouts & cards. Great stuff! ISN'T THIS FREAKIN AMAZING STUFF?
