Whipper Snapper

I got this image from Laurel and HAD to use it because she had also sent me the peppermint card scent, which I added and it was just the best card EVAH!!

Bless Your Little Hearth

Here's the card I made for my mom for xmas! My LSS had a sale on xmas stamps a few weeks ago - buy 1 at regular price and get the 2nd at 40% off. SO I DID! I also bought Changito Shovel stamp and made the cutest card for my stepson but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take the pic before we mailed off their presents. Darnit!! LOL!

Frosty

I just love how this card turned out. It's a stamped image I got from my mom but I don't remember what the company is. I flocked his hat - a lot BTW - and used the new Spica glitter clear on the light blue part of the scarf. Too bad you can't see it better. I also used clear glaze over flower on the hat and the ribbon on the hat. Oh and clear glaze on his eyes and nose. Annnnd gold Spica pen on the corncob pipe. Hmfff - looks waaay better IRL. :)

Santa!

Another image from Laurel and I am pretty sure this Santa is from Whipper Snapper. I really went to town on this one with all the extra bling. hee hee I added Liquid Applique to all the fur on his coat and then added Stickles. Cuz apparently Santa needs bling too! LROL!

Riley

I love Riley!!!! It's too bad but you can't see the clear Spica glitter I colored the snowman with. It's suttle but so suttle we can't get it onto our blogs. LOL! I also colored Riley's scarf and hat with the red Spica glitter. The big snowflake is chipboard and I covered it with Stickles and punched 2 holes with my Crop-o-dile so I could thread the ribbon through.

Oh Joy! Stampotique

I tried very very hard to leave this card simple. You would think that would be easy huh? Nope!!! It just didn't seem to need anymore tho. The saying is a rub-on from American Crafts called Frosty Phrases.

House Mouse

Here's another House Mouse image given to me by Laurel. I just bought the little gingerbread guy and girl at my LSS yesterday. I also bought and added glitter with the new Spica pens, which I don't think you can really see in the picture but IRL it's nice and suttle.

Hero Arts Owl Christmas

So this is the 2nd card I made just like this. I didn't get a chance to post the first one because I took it to work to enjoy for the week and someone liked it so much I couldn't help but make their day. I just love the owls and I love the google eyes. hee hee This was a fun card.

House Mouse

These guys are so darn cute!! Laurel sent me some images for my bday and this was one of them. She also had sent the Candy Cane card scent to go with it. I used this sketch from Taylored Expressions, who by the way, has a fantabulous blog!!!!

American Art

This card was done a few weeks ago but I haven't had a chance to upload anything until now. Gee can you tell? Is your Inbox full yet? I like these American Art stamps but have a tough time coloring their arms with Copics!!!!! Yikes! Break out the Prisma's next time! LOL!

Tis-The-Season Bella

I just loved coloring this image. I added Stickles to one of the gift bags, the top of her boots and some glaze to her sweater. I was worried when I started it, thinking it was going to be one of those "just finish it" cards but once it was done I really liked it!

Snowfight #2

Here's another edition of Snowfight. Once again with the pink & red - not my favorite but ..... someone will get it for a christmas card and freakin enjoy it!!! LOL!

Stella With Lights - Stamping Bella

Here's Stella decked out like a tree! This was a fun card even tho I'm not a huge pink and red fan. I kind of cased this card but now I can't find the card and blog to give credit to. Sorry!

Shopping Trip!

Normally I don't post what I buy because it's always in little driblets ...... is that a word? However, last weekend was a HUGE exception. My mom, her friend Ralfie, Simone and myself went on a shopping trip to Kamloops. It's about 3hrs away but we don't have half the stores they do! This was my big splurge!! We had sooo much fun and laughed soooooooooo hard all weekend! It was great! The Christmas Stack is so very cool and my sister bought the Glitter Christmas Stack. Great to have someone to split things with! Christmas Stack, Fiskars cutter, Gems, Prima Xmas flowers, Xmas stickers, rectangle Nestabilities, Chalk inks, Snow punch and Halloween ribbon. Yippeeeeeee!

American Art

Just TRY and tell me these aren't the cutest stamps evah?!! They're from American Art - A bit expensive once they got here but hey......stamps are stamps!!! If I like them enough ....... well .... you know the rest!!

Snowfight

I was telling my mom and her friend, Ralfie last weekend that once in awhile Simone and I have very similar tastes in card making. Here is one example that I could sooooo see my sister having made. But she didn't. I did. :) Isn't this image cute?!! I can't wait to make more. I really need to call in sick for work one day. LOL!

Rafferty

This would be my stamping enthusiast. Doesn't he look impressed? Actually, he's usually worse. We call him Mr. GrumpyPants most of the time. He has a 'tude. My DH took this pic last night. He was trying to get on my scraptable and when I told him no, this is what he figured "no" meant. "Okay, I'm not REALLY on your table.......well not all of me anyway!" WHAT A BRAT!

Thanks to Christine

It all started out with a simple comment "I can send you some if you like". I can't even remember the stamp but Christine liked something on my blog so I mentioned I would send her some. Well, why send just 1 image? I did up a little package and off it went. This is how she responded!!!! OMG!! I will be coloring until the cows come home which I am FINE with! I was dumbfounded when I got home after work one day! She even sent me a couple of stamps she had duplicates of from Whiff of Joy!! I couldn't believe it! The card she sent is so cute too!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

Blog Candy by Laurel!

This image was sent to me by Sheri Danielson. Isn't he cute? I made this card for Laurel's pink challenge for some blog candy! She's at 20,000 hits!! Congrats Laurel! You can play too if you like. Check out her blog for the deets!

Stampotique

Ok, so Simone and I discovered some new weird off the wall stamps thanks to Candace at Rubbah Soul. She has Gooseneck and Oh Joy and we knew we had to have them! My girlfriend, Sheri Danielson sent them to us from the US. Thanks Sheri! She thinks I have finally shifted to the dark side. LOL! I bought Oh Joy and Relaxin' and Simone bought Sheer. Creepy!

Heartfelt Thanks

This is a birthday card for my DH's gramma. Mine and Simone's bday, my MIL and her MIL all have the same date. So ya, 4 of use the same day. Weird or what?!! Anyway, Freda is a very English lady in every meaning of the word so I thought this was nice and dainty for a nice dainty lady.

CALLING ALL MY FRIENDS!
CALLING ALL MY FRIENDS!
Simone has entered a card on the Bellaholics website and needs some more votes to win. Her card is FANTASTIK and I think it would be so cool to see her card posted. Besides, I won last month so that would be even cooler given the twin thing and all. hee hee!! If you haven't voted and you do like her card, could we snag your vote? She would never ask and she might give me crap for posting this but I think she deserves to win. :)
Here's the cards:

NEW SCRAP ROOM!!!!

FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! (it's early) my DH gave me not only the most wonderful gift EVAH, he helped me build it!!! The Original Scrapbox! This is really big because if you knew my DH you'd know that he has very little patience but as he gets older is getting more. This project probably called for, not 2 (yes, only 2!!!) blowups but about 40 in the 3 day project. He amazed me this weekend!!! I MEAN AMAZED ME!! I'm still walking around in the state of shock and would love to know who replaced my DH. Nevermind, I'll take this one! LROL!! So a HUGE thanks to my room painter and scrapbox builder, my DH Mike.

Thanks for persisting when I wanted to give up and thanks for finishing this project with me BEFORE the weekend was over. :)

Before pic: I personally loved the blue and red together....NOT!
Please note the lovely green and brown trim. LOVE IT!

BEFORE pics:

AFTER:

I am just tickled pink and can't wait to get back to cardmaking next weekend. I am going through withdrawals!! LOL! Enjoy your short week! I know I will! :)

Halloween Pail

Simone and I spent Sat. night making these. (View hers) At one point we were laughing so hard about overdoing it but decided since we were past that, we would add more bling! LOL! They were fun.

Hats Off To The Holidays

I had fun with this one. They are colored with Copics and I added some Stickles and glazed the hat.

Barbella

I got this image some time ago...so long in fact, I can't remember who sent it to me!! I think it was Shannon Roberts. If so, thanks! If not....so sorry I don't remember! Bere had sent me a whole lotta bella images and I am still making my way through hers too!! This paper is a combo from CTMH from my friend Laurel. I love their papers so much that after she sent me some I just had to have more!

Pumpkin Riley

I bought some new colored core carstock that my LSS carries from Core'dinations and also used my newly acquired pumpkin embossing Cuttlebug folder. The leaves are from CTMH and I colored using Prisma's.

It's Snow Time - SU

Just another christmas card for y'all to look at. I just got the scalloped ovals from my LSS and HAD to use them! LOL!

I've Been Tagged!!

I’ve been tagged by Susan and since I work all week, I didn't want to leave it until next weekend so here goes!

Just so you know, here are the rules for ya:

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

7 Things about me:

1. I am a twin to the world's best sistah evah! Thanks mom! LOL!
2. I am anal about my stamps and I HAVE to clean them before putting them away to the point that some look like they've never been used. Yup sad. LOL!
3. When I'm at a store I always take the item in the back that's been less handled then the others. Why? I have no clue but now I have my DH doing it too! Hilarious!
4. I live in the same town as my sister and my mom. We are all each other's stamping enablers and we love it! Lucky us! :)
5. I have a siberian cat that is non-allergenic (yes I was skeptical but it's true) and his name is Rafferty. The breeder named him but it seems to suit him so we left it. Raff for short.
6. I LOVE HUMOUR!
7. I love my 4 x 4 pickup. ha ha!

So here are the 7 people I’d love to know more about:

1. Simone
2. Laurel
3. Bere
4. Deb - I will join Susan on that tag
5. Shannon
6. Trina
7. Christine

They are all so talented and I love seeing their new creations. Let’s go learn all about them and look at their exciting blogs and what they’re up to!

Exercising Old Ladies

My good friend, Sheri Danielson (Omaha, NB), sent me a crapload of images of hedgehog stamps, House Mouse images and a whole lot more. I was so excited!!! I can't color fast enough!! This is one of the images she sent - hilarious!! I made it for a friend going to Weight Watchers. She's going to kill herself laughing. The paper is new from Making Memories and the buttons and blossoms are 5th Avenue Making Memories as well. That one was fun! Thanks so much Sheri!

Whipper Snapper - Waiting For Santa

For some reason I got stumped on this guy but I think I finally got it. I put Liquid Applique Frosty's hood, ground, top of the North Pole sign and on the ball then added Stickles. There is also Stickles on the red stripes on the pole. I used Stampendous snowflakes I got from an RAK last year. They're so cute! I have a few more Whipper Snapper's I must try out!! Yippeeeeeeeeee!

Riley - Santa Riley

As much as I would love to take credit for this card I can't. I love surfing blogs sometimes. You find the most talented people and this time I found very creative and inspiring Shannon! If you haven't seen her blog Live, Love, Laugh and STAMP you must check it out. I can't wait to do more Riley's!

Hanna Stamps

I made this one for the janitors at work. We have 10 of them so I wanted something quick and easy and hopefully this will be okay. My husband says the bg is too white so I think I will add a piece of ribbon where the card is embossed near the bottom using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder. I can't get enough of those!! Last year the ladies in the office each chipped in a few bucks and we did up mugs filled with yummies as a thanks for cleaning our offices all year. They just loved it! If you have any more tips or suggestions for me please let me know. It's hard to make this stamp into xmas.....thanks!!

Hats Off to the Holidays

I love the Whipper Snapper stamps but I do find it a bit hard to spruce up a card using such a big image. Lots of surfing blogs let me tell you!! LOL! I colored using Copics and fun flocked the snowman. Next time I make this I will use thicker ribbon....which I found AFTER I made this. :)
